Well, it's official now,I have received my letter informing me I am now a labour councillor for Wythall.
Geoff and I went to Wythall and I couldn't believe how big the place was,and it was all farms.
I looked on the computer for the results of the last election and this was the result:
James Duddy (conservative): 516
Nigel Huggins (Independent) 165
Christopher Bloor (Labour) 49
So, as you can see, I have a lot to do.
If I could just get 50 or more that will help.LOL
Will let you know how it goes.

Well that certainly is a 'mountain' to climb!
Do you have to go out canvassing and kissing babies? LOL
You don't have to live in the area then to stand as a councillor?
Perhaps we could run a guessing game!
I'll kick off first - 72 votes.
The voters seem to be quite knowledgeable in that area!
Can we do an internet campaign for you lol it might be less painful than canvassing door to door... good luck wit your campaign xxx
Well done! I hope you feel you can make a difference even if you aren't in the ruling party.
wow, this is brill.
yes bernard I will be out canvassing and I would be delighted with 72, I'll tell you what why don't we have a friendly bet.
I bet it will be 65 and you 72 so we;ll see who wins!
Sage, that would be brill if you could! LOL
Foody, yes, it will make a difference even if \i steal just a few votes form them.
All the best, my friend. ;)
