I must admit that since christmas I haven't really felt like blogging,as I'm sure you understand we are all feeling a bit low at the moment, but I have been reading all yours and they have cheered me up.
I hope everything goes well on Jan 23rd. I will be watching to see what happens.
I hope that you will get 2.5% pay rise.

Good Luck.

hey babes. don't be dissapointed. I've posted an answer... your not to know, but ... Its about a pay arbitration on a witheld agreement. Its not about a pay rise... we still get them... incrementally every year!

My point is, we are doing out laundry in public - this is exactly what the Federation are set up for.... They are US. and they are expected to represent US.
I'm not taken in by the stand up and fight argument. This is when I expect them to step up to the plate. Not because I can't orwon't... but because they volunteered/applied to do it! I do what I applied to do, and don't ask the FED to come down a scrap with the drunks on a friday! They wouldn't if I asked them to!

I too hope HM Govt. (Labour!) realise this was a dishonourable act towards my colleagues in E&W.

Noddy:
yes I laughed when I saw what bloody day it was!!!
TUPC:
Yes the fed represents you, but there comes a time when they need help as well.
What happens when you just can't negotiate any more.
It's deadlock.
Someone has to do something to shift that position and show their strength.
Like you I wish them the best, and will watch eagerly to see how it goes.

Anyway, I do hope you enjoy your holiday.

Cute puss-cat. Don't you just love them when they are all floppy, warm and stretched out on your knee?
